General Announcements

Hope you all had a great and blessed New Year! Mine was spent with family and friends, and as usual I have been plotting new ventures for 2010!

I have a new blog, which gives advice to actors. But some of the info, like eye contact and relaxation techniques, are great for anyone. Please check it out, and become a follower, I need the numbers! And suggest it to any actors, singers, dancers, performers you know. Or anyone who has to do public speaking or presentations.

I am casting our new show over at moonlight, Jason Robert Browns musical, "13". I am also directing Pirates of Penzance at Ipswich Middle School. My new touring show about William Shakespeare, Will's World, debuts this week!

IT'S A HIT!!!!!!

Kiss Me Kate at the Lyric stage (www.lyricstage.com), is open and running to great houses and reviews!

Neil A. Casey (First Man) and J.T. Turner (Second Man) play it for all they're worth and then some, especially in the ditty "Brush Up Your Shakespeare." (I've never been crazy about that bit in the past, but Casey and Turner turned me around.) ....BroadwayWorld.com

The addition of a pair of gun-slinging, stage-struck thugs, out to collect a gambling debt from Graham, gave Porter a chance to write his gag-encrusted adoration to the Bard, the Act II show-stopping song, “Brush Up Your Shakespeare........ And in the roles that were Porter’s gift to the generations of stage clowns, Neil A. Casey and J.T. Turner as the Shakespeare-spouting hoods, have topped their previous excellent outings on the local stages.......The Patriot Ledger

The presence of a pair of gangsters (played by Neil A. Casey and J.T. Turner) doesn’t make a whole lot of sense plot-wise, but I was glad they were there, especially when Casey and Turner warbled “Brush Up Your Shakespeare.’’....Boston Globe

General Harrison Howell, delivers a particularly wonderful comic relief in the second act when paired with the gangster team of J.T. Turner and Neil A. Casey. .....The Tufts Daily

Neil A. Casey (The Mystery of Irma Vep at Lyric) and J.T. Turner (Benjamin Franklin in Lyric’s 1776) as the gangsters have their moments of hilarity ... Boston Edge

I am so proud to be a part of this show, which features great leads and one of the finest ensembles I have worked with!

I am heading down to Guatemala soon. This will be my 5th trip, my 3rd to Village Concepcion where I volunteer with Partners In Development. They run a clinic, build houses, help out in the school, sponsor children and give micro grants to start businesses. My personal goal this trip is to launch a chess program in the small school in the village. Friends of mine donated money, I got 10 chess sets and a teaching board, and am hoping to improve the quality of life for some kids.

Look for news about Aida, and our various summer shows and workshops, over at www.moonlightproductions.org
